Following a man driving into a bank to withdraw money and then stopping at a barber shop in Dak Lak, Uyen used a rock to break the car window to steal more than 600 million VND and then fled.
On November 5, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police announced that it had prosecuted and detained Pham The Uyen (39 years old, residing in Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the act of breaking car windows to steal property.
According to the investigation, due to lack of money to spend, on the morning of April 4, Uyen drove a motorbike to a bank at the intersection of Tran Hung Dao - Le Thanh Tong (Buon Ma Thuot city) to follow people withdrawing money from the bank in order to steal it.

At around 10:20 a.m. the same day, Uyen discovered that Mr. D. (74 years old, residing in Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak) had withdrawn money and left it in the car, so she followed him. After following him, Uyen discovered that Mr. D. stopped at a barber shop on Le Thanh Tong street (Buon Ma Thuot city).

Then, Uyen approached the car and used a rock to break the car window in the middle of the street to steal 630 million VND and then got on a motorbike to escape.
To escape police pursuit, Uyen moved to Lam Dong province, then to Ho Chi Minh City.

After a period of active investigation, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security, professional units of Dak Lak Provincial Police and Buon Ma Thuot City Police to successfully arrest Uyen.
According to police, Pham The Uyen has 3 previous convictions for theft of property.
