Accordingly, the admission scores for specialized math, computer science, literature, and history classes at Thai Binh Specialized High School and the first round of admission scores for 11/29 public high schools have changed compared to the scores announced on June 16.
Specifically, at Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, the benchmark for Math increased from 33.6 to 33.8 points; for Information Technology increased from 30.3 to 31.05 points; for History increased from 39.05 to 39.1 points; for Literature decreased from 38.6 to 38.4 points.
The benchmark scores of specialized classes: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, English, Chinese, Korean, French and the first round of admission benchmark scores of 18/29 public high schools remain unchanged compared to the previously announced benchmark scores.
In addition, the benchmark scores of some public high schools have changed. Notably, Tay Tien Hai High School (Tien Hai District) increased from 30.8 to 31.2 points; Dong Tien Hai High School (Tien Hai District) decreased from 26.90 to 26.60 points; Binh Thanh High School (Kien Xuong District) decreased from 25.8 to 25.6 points; Nguyen Trai High School (Vu Thu District) increased from 34.4 to 34.5 points...
According to the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province, candidates who are not admitted to Thai Binh Specialized High School and other public high schools in the first round will be able to register for the second round of admission to a public high school according to their wishes. The registration period is from August 21 to 3:00 p.m. on August 23. During the registration period, candidates can adjust their wishes, and the system will close the registration function according to the prescribed time.
Candidates who fail to pass the entrance exam to a public high school can register for admission to a private high school or a district/city Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center according to their wishes. Candidates register for admission on the Thai Binh province primary admission system from August 24 to 5:00 p.m. on August 27. Private high schools and district/city Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers organize admission exams according to their quotas and submit them to the Department of Education and Training for approval.
Notably, the Department of Education and Training will accept applications for exam review from August 21 to 5 p.m. on August 25. Candidates taking the exam at which high school will submit their applications at that school. Schools will update the review data on the primary admission system; compile and submit the list to the Department on August 26. The Department of Education and Training will organize the review according to regulations and notify the results to high schools before the opening day.
The Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province requires high schools and district/city Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers to proactively guide, advise, and create conditions for students to enroll and register for elective subjects according to the school's plan.
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province took place from June 7 to 8, with more than 20,500 candidates participating at 30 examination councils. After the Department of Education and Training announced the results of the exam review, many parents suspected that the exam marking process had "problems" leading to the exam results not reflecting the true abilities of the students, so they filed a complaint.
