(Dan Tri) - On the train from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, Tim Pile experienced a completely different feeling of sitting on a train. The passenger enjoyed free champagne, caviar and snacks.
Time Pile is a veteran writer for SCMP , a newspaper headquartered in Hong Kong (China). He has traveled to more than 100 countries around the world, experienced many types of trains, and witnessed the scene of passengers dragging their suitcases down to the platform, jostling each other between train compartments to find empty seats.

Therefore, when he first became a passenger on the luxury train from Nha Trang to Quy Nhon, the foreign guest felt completely different. Tim's feelings were shared in an article recently published on SCMP . "I have never sipped champagne in a waiting room at a train station. But this is the first time I have experienced this when traveling on a train between two famous tourist destinations in central Vietnam," Tim began his sharing. When the train whistle sounded, the 5-hour trip for passengers began. The train left the station in the coastal city of Nha Trang at 2:00 p.m. It is known that this is a train car that provides a high-class experience for passengers, and has been in operation since 2020. Previously, the train operated the 6-hour Da Nang - Quy Nhon route. And recently, the second leg was operated, connecting the two destinations Quy Nhon - Nha Trang.

Every day, the train departs from Nha Trang station at 2pm and arrives at Dieu Tri station (Quy Nhon) at 6:29pm. Passengers traveling in the opposite direction can start from Dieu Tri station at 2:15pm and arrive at Nha Trang station at 6:36pm. With a ticket price of 420USD/way (more than 10 million VND), passengers have plenty of time to enjoy a free afternoon tea including caviar and handmade cheese, cold cuts and a selection of premium Vietnamese teas. As the train speeds up, Tim moves from his private room to the front seat of the bar. That is where he can enjoy a panoramic view of both inside and outside the train.

At this point, the staff began to prepare meals and drinks. Passengers were allowed to choose alcoholic or soft drinks freely without any quantity limit. The train moved at a speed of about 50km/h, suitable for admiring the outside scenery. It was a scene of spectacular bays and seas. Sometimes, passengers witnessed farmers wearing conical hats, leading buffaloes through rice fields or cranes wading for food in lotus ponds. In addition to the bar area, passengers on the train were also served afternoon tea and meals including lobster, caviar, sandwiches, toast with ice cream and fruit jam. According to the chef, most of the food ingredients served on the train were locally sourced, including lobster, caviar, cheese and jam. As the second largest coffee growing country and the fifth largest tea producer in the world , these two drinks also appeared on the menu. A few steps from the bar, visitors will receive a free 15-minute neck and shoulder massage. It was a moment that helped Tim truly relax. Before the train pulled into Dieu Tri station in Quy Nhon, passengers continued to enjoy a variety of desserts such as charcuterie, lemon tart and strawberry cheesecake.

"As a frequent traveler, I prefer to travel by train over by car because it can reduce emissions by 80%, limiting global warming. It can be said that traveling by train is a good trend for the green planet," Tim said.
