Thailand's Siam Sport newspaper has voted on a group of the best goalkeepers currently playing in Southeast Asia. This list includes Filip Nguyen and Dang Van Lam.

In an article published on the morning of December 12, Siam Sport commented: "After Filip Nguyen, a goalkeeper born in the Czech Republic, became a naturalized Vietnamese citizen, Southeast Asia now has many good goalkeepers."
"They will compete for the number 1 football position in the region and help their team compete for the 'crown' in Southeast Asia," Thailand's leading sports daily added.
The group of the best goalkeepers in Southeast Asia includes names that have made their name in Europe, such as Neil Etheridge (Philippines, currently playing for Birmingham City Club of England) and Michael Falkesgaard (Philippines, currently playing for Boldklubben Club of Denmark).
However, both Filip Nguyen and Dang Van Lam are ranked very high. In order, Dang Van Lam is currently the goalkeeper voted by Siam Sport as the second best in Southeast Asia, just behind goalkeeper Neil Etheridge (this is almost natural because the goalkeeper of the Philippine team used to play in the prestigious English Premier League).
