Forbes magazine (USA) believes that the Vietnamese women's team can absolutely win a historic victory in the World Cup in the match against Portugal.

Ahead of the 2023 Women's World Cup, Forbes magazine has published an article evaluating the four teams in Group E: the United States, the Netherlands, Vietnam, and Portugal. Forbes did not underestimate the Vietnamese women's team, even though it was their first time participating in the World Cup.
Commenting on coach Mai Duc Chung's team, Forbes commented: "In their first time participating in the World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team was placed in a difficult group.
This team's chances of getting past the group stage are almost impossible. They need to focus on performing well.
The Vietnamese women's team rotates between a formation of 4 or 5 defenders. But with any formation, they tend to approach the game defensively.
They will definitely have to 'fight to the death' in defense at the 2023 World Cup, especially when facing strong opponents like the US and the Netherlands.
Before the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team played a few friendly matches quite well. However, in the last friendly match before the tournament, they were scored 9 goals by Spain.
The head coach of the Vietnamese women's team, Mai Duc Chung, is quite an interesting person. He has led generations of Vietnamese women's teams for many years. At the age of 70, he and his team are participating in the World Cup for the first time.
Coach Mai Duc Chung wanted to leave the Vietnamese women's team many times to rest, but because the team did not have a suitable replacement, he is still in charge until today.
Huynh Nhu is the most notable female player of the Vietnam women's team. She is the team's best scorer in history with 64 goals.
However, one goal at the World Cup means more than all of Huynh Nhu's other goals combined. Huynh Nhu's experience playing in Europe is an invaluable asset for the Vietnamese women's team in their first World Cup appearance in 2023."
Forbes hopes that the Vietnamese women's team can score a historic score at the World Cup. They added: "There is a high possibility that the Vietnamese women's team will lose to the US in the opening match. But they certainly do not want to lose heavily because it will lose their spirit.
However, the match against Portugal offers the Vietnamese women's team the chance to make history. They have the ability to score the first goal, get the first point or even win the first World Cup."
The Vietnam women's team will begin their 2023 World Cup campaign against the United States at 8am on July 22.
