Reviewing the results of the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that at this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions, considered and decided on 5 major groups of issues.
Specifically, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the explanation, acceptance and revision of 7 draft laws including: Law on Capital City (amended); Law on Organization of People's Court (amended); Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order; Law on National Defense and Security Industry and Industrial Mobilization and Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction.
Thus, along with the 2 draft laws that were commented on for acceptance and revision at the 30th regular session, up to now, the National Assembly Standing Committee has completed giving opinions, acceptance and explanations for all 9 draft laws that were discussed by the National Assembly at the 6th Session, expected to be submitted for consideration and approval at the 7th Session.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Secretary General of the National Assembly and relevant agencies to promptly issue the conclusions of the meeting as a basis for the agencies in charge of reviewing and the agencies in charge of drafting to continue completing the documents to submit for comments to the Conference of specialized National Assembly deputies, ensuring the highest quality for the draft laws.
In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed and approved the Resolution on the establishment of An Dien and An Tay wards in Ben Cat town and the establishment of Ben Cat city in Binh Duong province and the Resolution on the establishment and arrangement of wards in Go Cong town and the establishment of Go Cong city, Tien Giang province.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Law Committee to promptly complete the draft Resolution based on the opinions of the National Assembly Standing Committee to submit it for signing and promulgation as a basis for units and localities to organize implementation. The resolutions are expected to take effect from May 1, there is not much time left, the National Assembly Chairman also requested localities to prepare carefully so that when the Resolution takes effect, they will be ready to switch to operating under the urban government model.
Also at the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the Report on People's Aspirations in February 2024; considered and approved the Resolution approving personnel for the positions of Standing Member of the National Defense and Security Committee and Standing Member of the National Assembly's Judiciary Committee.

In particular, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized a question-and-answer session on two groups of issues under the management of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "The question-and-answer session met the set requirements and was a great success," the National Assembly Chairman affirmed.
Based on the developments of the questioning session, reports from ministries and concluding remarks of the questioning session, the National Assembly Chairman requested the National Assembly Secretary General to promptly submit a draft Resolution on questioning to seek comments from the National Assembly Standing Committee for early promulgation as a legal basis for implementation.
The National Assembly Chairman said that in the coming time, there will be many tasks to be carried out, such as the National Conference summarizing the work of the People's Council, the Conference of full-time National Assembly deputies; the 32nd regular session of the National Assembly Standing Committee; the specialized legal session... Along with that, the Government proposed many additional contents to the program of the upcoming 7th Session.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Chairman of the Nationalities Council and the Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees to urgently work with the Government's focal points to thoroughly review the contents. Based on the review, urgent contents that can be prepared immediately should be added to the agenda of the session. Any contents that have not been prepared in time can be delayed and included in the agenda of the year-end session to ensure the feasibility and quality of the projects.
The National Assembly Chairman noted that the number of draft laws to be submitted to the National Assembly for initial comments at the 7th Session and draft Resolutions is expected to be very large, requiring the Ethnic Council and Committees to urgently arrange and implement work scientifically and reasonably to be able to resolve all tasks.
The National Assembly Chairman requested that the National Assembly agencies, Government agencies and relevant agencies closely follow the program, focus efforts with high determination to ensure progress and be very careful about quality. "The most important priority is the issue of quality of draft laws and draft resolutions so that the session can be successful," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
