On the second official competition day (June 5) at the 12th ASEAN Para Games, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation won 14 more gold medals thanks to the efforts of the following athletes: Pham Thi Huong (chess rapid event, disability category VI-B1); Pham Thi Huong, Tran Ngoc Loan (women's rapid chess team); Doan Thu Huyen, Nguyen Thi Kieu (women's rapid chess team, disability category PI); Danh Hoa (men's 200m freestyle, category S4; men's 50m breaststroke, category SB3); Do Thanh Hai (men's 50m breaststroke, category SB5); Vo Huynh Anh Khoa (men's 100m backstroke, category S8); Vo Thanh Tung (men's 50m butterfly, category S5); Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan with 2 gold medals in the women's 55kg weightlifting category... Notably, with a weight of 105kg, Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan broke the Games record (the old record was 104kg).

As of 9:00 p.m. on June 5, the Vietnamese Paralympic Sports Delegation had 29 gold medals, 25 silver medals and 39 bronze medals, temporarily ranking 3rd on the rankings.
