The FOV slider is very popular in games like Call of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077, Dark Souls, and Forza... The FOV slider allows players to adjust their view from first-person to third-person perspective, giving gamers a wider or closer view depending on the situation. It also functions to change the viewing angle to suit the player's preference to help them observe their surroundings to improve their awareness in games.
Starfield now has a FOV slider
Starfield did not have this feature on the first day of launch, causing gamers to cry out on forums, and now, they have listened to players by adding this feature in the latest patch that was released yesterday, October 9.
The biggest highlight of this Starfield patch is the FOV slider, something players have been asking for since the game launched. Too many people have argued that a blockbuster game shouldn't launch without FOV, and Starfield has delivered. At least, "better late than never"!
The FOV slider is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and can be found in Starfield's "settings." It will allow players to change both first-person and third-person perspectives, and it's been well received by the community.
Additionally, the patch improves stability for Intel Arc GPUs on the PC platform and fixes a crash in the "Echoes of the Past" quest.
"Starfield 1.7.36" is a fairly small patch, but it brings a feature that Xbox and especially PC gamers have been asking for in the game. Bethesda is still working on more fixes and improvements for Starfield, and hopefully gamers will see additional HDR (realistic visuals) and DLSS (high-quality frame rates) adjustments.
