On the afternoon of January 10, the delegation of the Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee led by Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Standing Member of the Council of Patriarchs, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council, Head of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee visited and extended New Year greetings to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025.

In the joyful and exciting atmosphere welcoming the New Year, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Permanent Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha happily announced the results that the Provincial Buddhist Sangha achieved in the past year.

With the consensus of the people and Buddhists, Nghe An Buddhism has achieved many outstanding achievements, and has implemented Buddhist activities according to the Resolution of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Congress.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu - Standing Member of the Council of Patriarchs, Standing Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha presented Tet gifts to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the significance of the Buddhist activities of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and the monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the whole province for their efforts towards good things, building peace for development, especially social security activities.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung presented gifts to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu and members of the delegation.

Sharing the results achieved by the province in 2024, the major goals and orientations in 2025, the Provincial Party Secretary hoped that Nghe An Buddhism would continue to promote its traditions, comply with the discipline and regulations of the Sangha, actively implement the Party and State's policies and resolutions on innovation; and accompany the province to achieve common goals. Nghe An province pledged to always accompany and create favorable conditions for the activities of the provincial Buddhist Sangha.
