This morning, February 15, the 6th day of the first lunar month, the first working day of the new year of Giap Thin, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended a meeting with the Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the departments of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the National Assembly Office.

Speaking at the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the National Assembly must continue to strive towards an increasingly professional National Assembly, promoting democracy and increasing the rule of law, but at the same time must always keep abreast of life, continue to be ready to turn the abnormal into the normal to promptly meet the requirements of reality, ensuring the requirements of creating rapid, sustainable development and international integration of the country.

In the exciting atmosphere of the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday, speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent his best wishes to the entire Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, agencies of the National Assembly, Committees of the National Assembly Standing Committee and officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Assembly Office.

The National Assembly Chairman expressed his joy that the country and people had just celebrated the New Year of the Dragon in a warm, peaceful and joyful atmosphere.

In 2023, the National Assembly had a busy but also very successful year. Right in the first days of 2024, the National Assembly successfully held the 5th Extraordinary Session, passing many important contents, especially the Land Law (amended) and the Law on Credit Institutions (amended), which were highly appreciated by experts, people, and domestic and foreign enterprises. Right before the Lunar New Year holiday, the National Assembly Chairman signed to certify these two important laws.

The National Assembly Chairman said that before the Tet holiday, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed two Resolutions on emulation and rewards, including the Resolution regulating the "For the Cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly" Medal and the Resolution regulating emulation and rewards for National Assembly deputies, National Assembly agencies, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee and officials and civil servants under the management authority of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that this is the first time in history that we have these two Resolutions, meeting the aspirations of not only National Assembly deputies but also cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the National Assembly Office.

The National Assembly Chairman respectfully acknowledged and thanked the full-time National Assembly deputies at the Central level and all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the National Assembly Office for their tireless, dedicated, dynamic, and creative work, contributing to the outstanding achievements of the National Assembly in 2023.

The National Assembly Chairman stated that 2024 is a very special year, all sectors, all levels, all agencies and units must accelerate to successfully achieve the plans and goals set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

The National Assembly Chairman said that the workload this year is expected to be no less, or even more, than previous years; accordingly, in addition to regular work on legislation, supervision, National Assembly deputies' work, People's Council work, foreign affairs, information and communication...

The National Assembly, its agencies, and the National Assembly Office are also preparing for the national celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly and are ready for other urgent tasks to meet practical requirements.

Emphasizing that the National Assembly has the right to be proud of what it has done, "but it must not be subjective or complacent; the workload is huge. The spirit must be very urgent, time is the force", the National Assembly Chairman hopes that the entire Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the agencies of the National Assembly, the Committees of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Assembly Office will urgently deploy the work right from the first days and months according to the determined work plans and programs.

The National Assembly Chairman especially reminded the entire Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, the agencies of the National Assembly, the Committees of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the National Assembly Office to thoroughly grasp the spirit emphasized by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the meeting and New Year greetings to the leaders and former leaders of the Party and State on the afternoon of the 28th of Tet: 2023 was united, so 2024 must be even more united, 2023 was successful, so 2024 must be even more successful.

The report of the National Assembly Office shows that the Lunar New Year 2024 took place in a warm, joyful, healthy, safe and economical atmosphere; people were excited and confident in the care of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The National Assembly Standing Committee has disseminated and thoroughly instructed the Standing Committee of the Nationalities Council, the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Office, and agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee to strictly implement Directive No. 26 of the Secretariat and Directive No. 30 of the Prime Minister; at the same time, it noted to well implement social security policies, take care of the material and spiritual life of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, policy families, people in difficult circumstances, poor households, and cases in need of help...

The activities of visiting and wishing a happy new year by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, as assigned, ensure thoughtfulness, safety, economy, efficiency, and suitability to the actual situation; encourage, share, and demonstrate the concern of the Party and State leaders of the National Assembly to families with meritorious services, families with preferential policies, workers, armed forces, and vulnerable groups, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere and emotional attachment to voters and people nationwide every time the New Year comes.

Agencies of the National Assembly and agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee have actively and urgently issued programs and plans to implement work in 2024 to ensure progress. During the Tet holiday, agencies strictly implemented the assigned Tet duty to promptly handle arising work.

The National Assembly Office has done a good job of taking care of the Tet holiday for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire agency. In particular, the office leaders and the National Assembly Office Trade Union have mobilized agencies and units to support Tet gifts in kind for all union members, creating a warm and exciting atmosphere on the occasion of Spring...
