From mid-June, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) begins to enter the peak summer tourist season. This coastal city is famous for its diverse island tours, attracting both domestic and international visitors such as Hon Tam, Hon Mun, Hoa Lan Island, Monkey Island, etc.
Recently, on social networks, a series of videos appeared about a beach in Nha Trang with emerald green water, likened to a “miniature Hawaii” in Vietnam. Many check-in photos at this beach received a “storm of likes”.
According to research, this place is called Mini Beach, a small beach located on Hon Mieu - one of the most beautiful islands in the bay, close to the mainland, only about 7 minutes by canoe from Nha Trang Tourist Port.

The beach is only about 300m long but the water is very clear, clean, with a beautiful turquoise color, and fine white sand. There are thatched-roof rest houses here, interspersed with dozens of white umbrellas, rows of wooden chairs close to the shore and especially covered by many green trees and tall coconut trees.
Mr. Ho Dac Duy, a tour guide specializing in island tours in Nha Trang, said that this beach used to belong to a resort, but now accommodation activities have been temporarily suspended. The beach has been exploited for a long time, but in the past two years, it has suddenly become a hot topic, "stirring up" tourism groups.
To get to this beach, visitors can go on their own or on a tour.
If you choose to travel on your own, you will move from the hotel to the port, then you can choose a wooden boat (VND 200,000/small boat, can accommodate 6-7 people), a canoe or take a local ferry. Tourists mainly choose to go by canoe because the travel time is quick, only 7-10 minutes, and the price is around VND 900,000 for a round trip.
This area currently charges an entrance fee of 200,000 VND/person. The restaurant area has a beautiful design, a diverse menu of seafood dishes but the prices are quite high.
Visitors here can paraglide, go banana boating, scuba diving...
On Hon Mieu Island, visitors can combine playing at Tranh Beach – a beach with fine white sand, one side is a shallow beach with many small pebbles. The sea water here is clear, especially gentle, suitable for swimming.
In addition, visitors can visit the aquarium with a giant ship design. Inside is the basement with 4 fish tanks. This is the main sightseeing area, gathering hundreds of marine creatures like a miniature ocean. On the 2nd and 3rd floors are restaurants and souvenir shops.
According to Mr. Duy, normally, tourists combine their schedule to Mini Beach with a 3-island or 4-island tour, going during the day, from 9am to about 4pm.
“Tourists can join a group tour to Hon Mun – Hon Tam – Mini Beach, the cost ranges from 670,000 – 750,000 VND/person. If choosing a private tour, the cost depends on the number of guests. The journey starts picking up guests in the city center at 8am and arrives at the port at 8:30am, departing for the island,” said Mr. Duy.
At 9am, visitors will arrive at Hon Mun. The main activity here is diving to see coral. With the intersection of two hot ocean currents, the island has about 2,000 species of coral and many tropical marine creatures. Joining the diving tour at a depth of 6 - 8m, visitors will admire the colorful ocean world and touch many species of stars, sea fish...
At noon, the group moves to Hon Tam to rest, have lunch or take a mud bath. This is an island with green forests, long sandy beaches, gentle waves, especially suitable for tourists who love resort tourism.
“In the early afternoon, guests will take a canoe to Mini Beach. This is an ideal area for taking photos and swimming. However, during peak season, the number of visitors to the beach is quite crowded,” said Mr. Duy.
