Bac Ninh launched the movement 'All people unite to participate in donating land to build traffic infrastructure'

Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan attended and directed the conference. In the period of 2019-2024, implementing the Directive of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee issued Project No. 01/DA-MTTQ - BTT on improving the quality of implementation of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", and at the same time directed the Standing Committees of the Fatherland Front of districts, towns and cities to advise the Party Committees to issue decisions to establish Steering Committees for the Campaign, issue Directives and Resolutions to direct the implementation of the Campaign...

In the recent period, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels of Bac Ninh province have organized more than 200 training conferences with more than 8,400 participants, including Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committees at district and commune levels, Heads of the Front Work Committees in residential areas, and representatives of member organizations of the Front; and built 95 pilot models to implement the campaign.

Local people voluntarily donated more than 18,448.40 m2Land for road construction, civil works, construction of essential infrastructure in rural areas with the participation of 1,152 households, implementing the construction of more than 80 traffic works, public works, and welfare works.

Over the past 5 years, people have contributed a total of 31,253 working days and hundreds of billions of VND to accelerate the construction of public works, welfare works, and expand rural roads in the whole province, bringing practical benefits to the local socio-economic development.

With the achieved results, implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting the movement "All people unite to participate in donating land to build transport infrastructure", the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province has developed a plan to launch the movement "All people unite to participate in donating land to build transport infrastructure" to promote the combined strength of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, unions, enterprises and people to actively compete and join hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the new period.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Ha said that 2024 is a year of special significance for the Fatherland Front at all levels, marking the 5-year mark of a term. The Fatherland Front at all levels has innovated the content and methods of operation, strengthened the Great National Unity bloc, effectively implemented movements and competitions, contributing to economic development in the whole province.

With the contribution of the Fatherland Front at all levels, the whole province has an urbanization rate of 60.3%; 100% of districts have completed the content of new rural construction; 9 communes have met the standards of advanced new rural areas.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province affirmed that the model of donating land for road construction has brought positive results, expanding rural concrete roads, connecting localities, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and trade goods, creating momentum for socio-economic development, and at the same time contributing to increasing income and improving people's lives.

In order for the land donation model to be widely replicated, traffic routes to be expanded throughout the province, contributing to the completion of the task of building a model New Rural Area, Advanced New Rural Area as well as meeting the criteria for a type 1 urban area, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province calls for and acknowledges the joint efforts of the whole society, the high determination of the entire political system and all classes of people, implementing the movement "All people unite to participate in donating land to build traffic infrastructure" to develop widely, with positive results, contributing to building Bac Ninh province to soon become a centrally-run city.

Thereby, contributing to the completion of infrastructure in residential areas, promoting socio-economic development in residential areas in the province. Many bottlenecks in site clearance through propaganda and mobilization of people have been actively resolved to facilitate road construction, there are many "bright spots" supported by people, voluntarily donating land.
