At the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening China-Africa cooperation and preparing for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
According to Foreign Minister Wang Yi, FOCAC has become the most important platform for solidarity and mutual support between China and Africa, and a good example for South-South cooperation.
In particular, Mr. Wang Yi said that Beijing is willing to cooperate with Senegal - as co-chair of FOCAC - to create new and strong momentum for China-Africa cooperation.
In addition, the head of China's foreign ministry also stated that the two countries have built solid trust and deepened mutually beneficial cooperation, while promoting the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new height.
For his part, Mr. Demba Ba, who is attending the FOCAC Senior Officials' Meeting in Beijing, said that the effective cooperation between Senegal and China in many fields has helped the country achieve rapid development in nation building.
In addition, the Senegalese presidential adviser stressed that the West African country will always strictly adhere to the “one China” principle, help Beijing protect its core national interests, and promote Africa-China cooperation.
