According to Director of Bac Giang Department of Foreign Affairs Ngo Bien Cuong, Bac Giang has identified economic diplomacy as one of the priorities along with other pillars, focusing on a number of tasks such as strengthening the implementation of projects, programs, and plans on foreign affairs such as the Project to promote local-level international cooperation of Bac Giang province with foreign localities in the period of 2021 - 2025 or the Project to mobilize overseas Vietnamese to participate in introducing, consuming products and developing distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad in the period of 2020 - 2024...
In addition, Bac Giang continues to seek, connect and exchange with foreign localities to establish cooperative relations, focusing on localities of countries with economic cooperation relations, similar cultures and mutual strengths such as Japan, Korea...
On the other hand, Bac Giang also maintains and expands international relations with foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam, international cooperation agencies, and representatives of international organizations in Vietnam; strengthens the introduction of information to promote the image of the province's potential, strengths, planning, and development orientation; continues to implement the Program to promote cooperation and mobilize foreign non-governmental aid in the province for the period 2020 - 2025...
In the coming time, Bac Giang aims to develop rapidly and steadily, becoming a developed industrial province with a GRDP scale in the top of the country. Bac Giang takes economic diplomacy and international economic integration as the focus in cooperation with foreign partners, attracting and effectively using domestic and international resources to serve the local development process.
Along with promoting foreign investment attraction, the province supports linkage and cooperation activities between enterprises in the province and foreign enterprises to improve the quality of production and processing of agricultural products of the province associated with promoting trade in foreign markets; research to take advantage of opportunities of free trade agreements to participate in the global supply chain...
Currently, Bac Giang province is actively implementing the Project to connect, attract and promote resources of overseas Vietnamese towards Bac Giang; Plan to implement Directive No. 15-CT/TW dated August 10, 2022 of the Secretariat on economic diplomacy to serve national development until 2030 in Bac Giang province for the period 2023-2026.../.
