Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Many leaders resign before retirement age

Five members of the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee have asked to retire early.

On the afternoon of February 10, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh said that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee had received applications for early retirement from 5 members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Mr. Mai Ngoc Thuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested to resign from work before the prescribed time.

Including Mr. Mai Ngoc Thuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Luu Tai Doan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Mr. Huynh Van Danh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Xinh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa, Secretary of the Vung Tau City Party Committee. In addition, a number of members of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee and many leaders and managers have also submitted applications for early retirement.

According to the Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, the above comrades are all capable, experienced cadres with a lot of enthusiasm and responsibility for their work and the development of the province. Currently, these comrades have also pioneered and set an example in implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus, are ready to sacrifice, facilitate the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus organization and create opportunities for important positions for young cadres with capacity and ethics.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that the Provincial Party Committee has approved the policy of issuing support policies, in which the subjects subject to streamlining, in addition to enjoying the regime of Decree 178 of the Government, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will support an additional 50% of the total benefits of Decree 178. Also in the afternoon of the same day, the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to end the activities of the Party Delegation, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises; establish the Provincial Party Committee of Provincial Party Agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; merge the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.

Specifically, the decision to end the activities of the Party delegations and Party Executive Committees at the provincial level. Of which, the activities of 7 Party delegations and 3 Party Executive Committees at the provincial level will end, including: Party delegation of the Provincial Women's Union; Party delegation of the Provincial Labor Federation; Party delegation of the Provincial Farmers' Association; Party delegation of the Provincial Veterans' Association; Party delegation of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations; Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee; Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Court; Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Procuracy.

Decided to end the activities of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises; decided to merge the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department into the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department. Agreed to appoint Mr. Bui Chi Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Decision to establish the Party Committee of Provincial Party Agencies with 24 grassroots Party organizations and 697 Party members; Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial Party Agencies for the 2020-2025 term, including 19 members in the Executive Committee and 3 members in the Standing Committee.

Appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies for the 2020-2025 term (concurrently); Mr. Le Van Phong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Con Dao District Party Committee - to hold the position of full-time Deputy Secretary.

The decision to establish the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee under the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee includes 34 grassroots Party organizations. Of which, 33 grassroots Party organizations with 3,773 party members will be transferred due to the end of their operations.

The decision appoints the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, including 18 members in the Executive Committee and 7 members in the Standing Committee.

Appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province - to hold the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term (concurrently); 3 people holding the position of Deputy Secretary include: Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Viet, Secretary of the Phu My Town Party Committee and Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
