Ba Ria - Vung Tau: Investigation into the case of a Quang noodle seller being beaten by a customer, causing his face to swell

The police have identified the person who beat the Quang noodle seller and are preparing a case for prosecution.

Speaking to Thanh Nien reporters the same morning, Ms. HTTHa (43 years old, living in Chau Duc District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau), the Quang noodle seller who was beaten by a customer, said she was still in shock and had been vomiting all night. In addition, her left eye was bruised and her face was swollen.

Ms. Ha said that on the afternoon of May 12, because her sister was busy, she went to Ngai Giao Town (Chau Duc District) to help sell Quang noodles. At nearly 9 p.m. the same day, a man came to the shop and ordered a bowl of Quang noodles.

"After bringing the bowl of noodles and a plate of vegetables to this man, I went back to the noodle shop. This man asked for the seasoning tray, so I pointed behind him and asked him to get it for me. This man immediately stood up and cursed, "I paid for the food, why did you order me?" I said I asked him to get it for me, I didn't order him to do anything, so this man picked up the chopsticks and threw them on the ground. I said if you don't eat, I'll give you back the money," said Ms. Ha.

When Ms. Ha arrived at the counter, this customer followed her and threw some objects at her, then rushed over and beat her up.

"When I was slapped in the face, I hit the customer back once. Then, the customer grabbed my head and hit me continuously. He used a bowl to hit me on the head repeatedly. When I was grabbed by the head and pressed to the ground, the customer kicked me in the face," Ms. Ha continued.

According to the camera at the restaurant, the incident occurred at 8:57 p.m. on May 12. The customer repeatedly hit the victim in the head and face. When the customer held a knife in the restaurant, Ms. Ha ran away. The customer left the knife behind and left the restaurant. Many customers witnessed the incident but no one dared to intervene.

Speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, a police officer of Chau Duc district said that the clip of the customer beating Ms. Ha, causing her face to swell and her eyes to turn black, was posted on social networking sites. "The police identified this customer as D.BD, also known as D. "pig", residing in Ngai Giao town. The police will invite the victim to work with them to prepare a case file for handling," said this officer.
