AWS now offers effective cloud storage and digital transformation solutions

The new AWS Region in Malaysia will play a pivotal role in delivering on the country’s digital ambitions and meeting the high demand for cloud services, while supporting innovation in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia region.

This new infrastructure will serve as a dynamic community where startups, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), large enterprises, and public sector organizations can collaborate, experiment, and thrive together with access to the latest technologies such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and more.

This new AWS Region will also enable customers with local data storage needs to securely store their data locally in Malaysia, helping to reduce latency when accessing data and serve the demand for cloud services in the Southeast Asia region.

Sumesh Rahavendra - Head of Transformation and Digitalization, Pos Malaysia Group, said: "Together with AWS, we are able to offer retail, logistics and other solutions and products to better serve our customers, simplify and improve operational efficiency. The complete migration to AWS helps us focus on core operations, improve productivity, grow profits and provide great customer experiences."

AWS also supports Malaysian businesses in applying new technology to improve people’s lives. For example, AWS has partnered with Ramsay Sime Darby and Analise.AI to deploy AI tools to improve patient care. Annalise Enterprise’s chest radiography capabilities help general practitioners detect and identify 124 suspicious signs in X-rays in less than 20 seconds, allowing healthcare facilities to act quickly, especially in cases that require urgent intervention.
