Last weekend, AS Roma struggled to win 1-0 against Monza despite playing with an extra man from the 41st minute. Stephan El Shaarawy was the hero when he scored the only goal in the 90th minute. However, the drama did not stop there.

Coach Mourinho was sent off in the 10th minute of injury time for "teasing" his Monza colleague Raffaele Palladino. He made a crying gesture with his hands over his eyes and then put his index finger to his mouth to indicate that his opponent was talking too much.
Not only the Portuguese coach, AS Roma club was also fined. According to the Disciplinary Committee of the Italian Football Federation, AS Roma had to pay 10,000 euros because the ball boy was too slow to put the ball into play (after El Shaarawy scored).
It is worth mentioning that, according to the Italian press, coach Mourinho was the one behind the "control" of the ball boy. He secretly ordered the boy not to be too enthusiastic in putting the ball into play, with the aim of helping AS Roma waste time.

With a red card in the match against Monza, the Portuguese strategist cannot direct the team in the match against his old team Inter Milan in round 10 of Serie A (taking place on October 30).
Notably, last season, coach Mourinho was also unable to face Inter due to suspension. That was a match that AS Roma won with a score of 2-1. This coincidence made the public suspect that the "Special One" was intentionally suspended to avoid his old team Inter.
Before meeting Inter, AS Roma will face Slavia Prague in the Europa League at 02:00 on October 27. The Roma team is ranked second in the group with the same 6 points as Slavia Prague but has a lower goal difference.
