According to AppleInsider , rolling out as the first incremental update since the release of iOS 17.2 on December 11, iOS 17.2.1 brings a number of minor changes to the operating system ahead of the holiday season.

Such incremental updates tend to include bug fixes and performance improvements, and in some cases may bring compatibility support for new hardware. Apple tends not to provide details about incremental updates in these cases, except for bug fixes that are important enough to be highlighted.
The build number for iOS 17.2.1 is 21C66, replacing the build number 21C62 of iOS 17.2. For the previous iOS 17.2 update, Apple brought changes like the Journal app, space video recording, and changes to the Apple TV and Messages app, among other things.
Users can manually update their devices to iOS 17.2.1 by opening the Settings app, selecting General, and then tapping Software Update. If an update is available, tap it and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
