In 2015, Mr. Tho got married and started his own business. He and his wife lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City. Life was still difficult, so he decided to leave Saigon for Dong Nai to live and do business.
With 5 hectares of vacant land, Mr. Tho started growing trees and raising livestock for short-term income. From the money he saved, he borrowed more preferential credit capital from the Social Policy Bank, capital from the Farmers Support Fund to take care of the plants and invest in buying more durian and cashew plantations.
Mr. Tho, a talented farmer and billionaire durian grower in Nhan Nghia commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai province, uses a high-capacity weed trimmer for farming. The high-capacity weed trimmer was researched, improved, manufactured and invented by him during his work.
While the cashew and durian trees have not yet closed their canopies, he intercrops corn, black beans, and peanuts, creating seasonal and regular jobs for about 5 workers in the area.
During the production process, he researched and invented a grass cutter that achieved high productivity and saved labor.
Thanks to his hard work, diligence and quick calculation, his family now has a spacious property including a Thai-roofed house worth 1.8 billion VND and more than 6 hectares of durian plantation, including 2 hectares of newly planted durian and 4 hectares of durian trees in harvest. Each year, his family harvests about 3 billion VND from the durian and cashew gardens.
He and his family always strictly comply with the Party's policies, state laws and local regulations.
Actively participate in emulation movements launched by the Commune Farmers' Association; enthusiastically participate in mass mobilization campaigns launched by the locality such as: planting and caring for trees on district-managed roads; roads in the hamlet, cleaning the environment, clearing bushes to create a bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe and civilized environment; participate in the new rural construction movement in the locality, annually support members' families in difficulty, help poor households.
As a core member of the Farmers' Association, Mr. Tho always pays full membership fees every year, supports the association fund with an average of 500,000 VND/year, the annual Farmers' Support Fund from 200,000 - 500,000 VND and supports 20,000,000 VND to build a security gate to contribute to the movement of building new rural areas.
With those efforts, in recent years, Mr. Tho has always achieved the title of Good Farmer and Businessman.
