In her latest interview with the Wall Street Journal (USA), Hollywood star Angelina Jolie shared some surprising thoughts about her feelings towards Hollywood stars.
Angelina Jolie said she wants to find true values so she no longer maintains regular social interactions with Hollywood stars. For her, her 6 children are her most sincere friends. They are also the rare close relationships that she strives to cultivate in her personal life.
"My children are my closest friends. They are also the rare relationships that I cherish and nurture in my life right now. We are 7 very different people, but that is what makes us strong," Jolie shared.

The 48-year-old actress also revealed that she and her son have had their share of struggles and have had to work together to heal from the trauma they have gone through. Jolie confirmed that at the moment, she does not have a vibrant social life with frequent and close interactions.
Besides her children, Jolie’s true friends are refugees she has met through her volunteer work. Jolie said she currently has six female friends, most of whom have experienced difficult lives due to war and conflict.
Jolie has 3 biological children and 3 adopted children, her children are between the ages of 15 and 22. Jolie also shared her desire to soon leave Los Angeles (USA) to have a different life. Jolie is thinking a lot about moving to live in Cambodia - the homeland of her adopted son Maddox.
"I have lived in bondage for many years. I cannot live and move freely in the way I want. When conditions allow, I will leave Los Angeles and live the way I want," Jolie said.

In fact, the irreconcilable differences between Jolie and her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, over child custody are one reason why she cannot leave the United States.
Only when all the children are 18 and independent will Jolie be able to move to other countries without any problems. Currently, she takes on the role of the direct caregiver for the children. Since Jolie and Pitt split, the children have only appeared with Jolie.
After the divorce, Jolie wants sole custody of all six children. Meanwhile, Pitt wants shared custody. These disagreements will likely only come to an end when all six children are adults and legally no longer need to take on the role of legal guardian.
Having traveled to many places in the world and experienced many different situations, Jolie realized that the film capital of Hollywood is a toxic place. Jolie was born and raised here, her parents were both actors.
Jolie even expressed regret for pursuing an acting career (Photo: WSJ).
Jolie still lives and raises her underage children in Hollywood, but she finds it a place that is "very insincere, full of hypocrisy and shortsightedness."
The 48-year-old beauty explains her harsh perspective: "Maybe because I grew up in Hollywood, I was never impressed with the social life here. I was never drawn to what was going on here, and I didn't see anything important or meaningful about what was happening in social life here."
In the interview, which contained many surprising details, Jolie even expressed regret for pursuing an acting career.
If she had to decide again, she would not pursue this career: "Currently, I find that acting in film projects is not suitable for me. I am more interested in the field of drama. When I started pursuing acting, actors' private lives were not shared as much as this, actors did not necessarily have to become public figures in the way we see them now."

In her current life, Jolie finds that those who have gone through many difficulties in life are the most valuable friends to her, because they are sincere, honest, and profound. With friends who are not working in showbiz, Jolie feels a real connection, she is comfortable and relaxed in those friendships.
Jolie said she wanted to live alongside people who were still struggling with daily life. It was when she was with people who had faced many difficulties and challenges in life that she felt both strength and kindness in them.
