This is the first fair organized by ACS but has attracted special attention from international friends, because it takes place when local people are preparing to celebrate Midsommar (the longest day of the year for Swedish people). The fair is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese Embassy to promote information about our country's potential in the fields of science, technology, renewable energy, logistics, high-tech agriculture , seafood, tourism, services, etc.; contributing to bringing Vietnamese brands and national cultural identity to international friends.
Successfully participating in this Fair helps bring the image of the country and people of Vietnam closer to the Swedish people and international friends; contributing to promoting the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Sweden and celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1969-2024).
Swedish consumers are very interested in the fair. |
Previously, speaking to reporters of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden and Latvia Tran Van Tuan said that this year's ASEAN Food and Trade Fair, co-hosted by the Embassy of Thailand and the Embassy of Malaysia, promises to become an outstanding cultural and economic diplomatic event of the Embassies of ASEAN countries in Sweden in 2024.
The ASEAN Food and Trade Fair was held for the first time in Sweden. The Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Trade Office in Sweden coordinated with local Vietnamese businesses and associations to build 3 large booths. Of which, 1 booth promoted the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam; 1 booth introduced and sold Vietnamese products and goods as well as provided information on Vietnam's economic - trade - investment activities; and 1 booth sold traditional national dishes.
“This ASEAN Food and Trade Fair is a good opportunity to promote and boost the import of Vietnamese goods into the Swedish market, because Swedish people love to participate in fairs and exhibitions. Besides, they also tend to be increasingly interested in the culture and trade of Asian countries in general and ASEAN countries in particular. Through events like this, the Swedish public will know more about Vietnamese products and services,” Ambassador Tran Van Tuan affirmed.
