Baoquocte.vn. Tonight, October 26, in Hanoi, the People's Committee of Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong District (Hanoi) organized the opening ceremony of the Van Phuc Craft Village Trade and Tourism Culture Week 2023.

This is an activity within the series of events of the Vietnam Craft Village Conservation and Development Festival 2023 and the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023 co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Hanoi People's Committee.
The organization of the Creative Design Festival and the Festival for Preservation and Development of Vietnamese Craft Villages in 2023 aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the nation, forming contemporary cultural features of Vietnamese craft villages, taking Hanoi 's craft villages as the center to spread to other localities.

With the theme "Van Phuc - Colors of Integration", the Van Phuc Silk Weaving Village Cultural Tourism and Trade Week 2023 has many unique and attractive contents and programs such as the Ancestor Procession Ceremony to express gratitude to the tutelary god A La De Nuong for her contributions to building the homeland and teaching the people of Van Phuc the craft of silk weaving. Heritage preservation activities and unique cultural performances such as ca tru, water puppetry, calligraphy writing contests and experiences, folk games, and culinary experiences.
The typical craft village product contest has the participation of 10 establishments with 30 typical products. Commercial activities take place throughout the Van Phuc Craft Village Trade and Tourism Cultural Week 2023 in many places in the ward.
Trade exchange activities of traditional craft villages with booths introducing and selling products of traditional craft villages in Hanoi. Experiential tourism routes, visiting historical and cultural relics such as: President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, communal house relics, pagodas, shrines and temples to worship the founders of the craft.
On the opening night, Van Phuc village was filled with colorful silk, lights and festival decorations. People were extremely excited and enthusiastic to participate in the festival programs.
Mr. Pham Van Chien, Vice Chairman of Ha Dong District People's Committee, said that through the event, Ha Dong District hopes to introduce to domestic and foreign tourists the unique culture of the traditional silk weaving village of Van Phuc.
Thereby, further promoting the potential and strengths of the district in the fields of creative design; enhancing and developing the position of the cultural industry of the capital and Ha Dong district; promoting the image of the land and people of Ha Dong, attractive destinations, traditional festivals, intangible cultural heritages, craft villages, culinary cultural products.
This is the second time the Van Phuc Silk Weaving Village Cultural Tourism and Trade Week has been held, lasting until November 2.

The silk weaving profession in Van Phuc dates back more than 1,000 years, and was taught to the villagers by Mrs. A La Thi Nuong - a daughter from Cao Bang who was famous for her diligence and skillful silk weaving skills. She became a daughter-in-law in Van Phuc village and taught the craft to the villagers.
Since its inception, Van Phuc silk has become a popular product due to the craftsmanship and sophistication of the craftsmen's hands and souls crystallized into each meter of fabric.
Through many changes and ups and downs of history, Van Phuc silk weaving has remained strong for the past 10 centuries and has grown, becoming a famous traditional craft of the capital. This traditional product is now not only popular domestically but also exported to many countries around the world.
