Impressive opening night of Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival 2024

(CLO) The art program on the opening night of the 2024 Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival impressed with special performances combining LED screens and 3D stage space.

On the evening of December 14, in Dong Ha City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to organize the opening ceremony of the 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival.

With the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups: Equality, solidarity, respect, integration and development for a peaceful world", the 2024 Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Festival brings together 16 participating provinces and cities: Bac Giang, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Vinh Phuc and Quang Tri.

The opening night art program of the Festival has the theme “Colorful Convergence”, including 3 parts: “Quang Tri heroes join hands with friends”, “Colorful Convergence” and “Radiant Vietnam”, performed by 250 artists, actors, singers, choirs, dancers from the Central Government, Quang Tri province and 16 participating provinces and some famous singers.

The special performances combined with LED screens and 3D stage space made an impression in the 45-minute performance. The program included synchronized animation performances mixed with traditional music and new songs about the lands where ethnic groups live.

Each ethnic group and each region brings to the festival its own unique cultural features, contributing to creating a colorful, rich and unique cultural picture of the nation.

According to the Organizing Committee, during the 3 days from December 14-16, the Festival will include the following activities: Mass art festival and traditional ethnic costume performance; performance and introduction of festival excerpts, traditional cultural rituals in the locality; display, introduce and promote local traditional culture and display, process and introduce traditional ethnic cuisine; compete in traditional sports and ethnic folk games.

The delegations also participated in competitions on community tourism skills, guest welcoming skills, explanation skills, and introducing local community tourism destinations. In addition, the festival also included a photo exhibition “Vietnam’s ethnic minorities accompanying the country’s development” and an exhibition “Cultural colors of Vietnam’s ethnic groups”.
