Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Vietnam Trade Counselor in India, accompanied and supported the delegation in trade and business connection activities.

The India Pavilion at the exhibition is impressively designed, displaying advanced products and technologies from Indian companies in the fields of machinery, equipment, automation, and metalworking. The event attracted the attention of many Vietnamese businesses, opening up opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

According to Mr. Shafi Akhtar - representative of the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC), bilateral trade between India and Vietnam has reached 14.85 billion USD in the fiscal year 2023-2024, with exports from India to Vietnam reaching 5.47 billion USD and imports from Vietnam reaching 8.79 billion USD. Notably, India's mechanical exports to Vietnam reached 1.31 billion USD and became India's largest export item to Vietnam.

The presence of major manufacturing sectors in Vietnam, including textiles, electronics, auto parts, machinery, furniture, and plastics, has led to a growing demand for machinery and engineering products. This creates a huge opportunity for Indian engineering exporters to expand their operations in the Vietnamese market.

The exhibition is an important event, organized with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and industry associations. This is a place to meet, exchange experiences, and introduce advanced products and technologies from more than 20 countries and territories.

Within the framework of the event, seminars, talks, and B2B trade events were held, focusing on topics such as digital transformation, green manufacturing, and sustainable development. Indian businesses actively participated in trade promotion activities, expanded their business networks, and sought strategic partners in Vietnam.

Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Vietnam Trade Counselor in India, emphasized that the strong presence of Indian businesses at VINAMAC EXPO 2024 will be a springboard to further promote bilateral trade between Vietnam and India. The exhibition not only supports business connections but also helps strengthen economic cooperation, bringing the trade turnover of the two countries to new heights.

With great potential for cooperation in the mechanical and industrial fields, this year's event promises to contribute to promoting trade growth, strengthening economic cooperation and positively contributing to the strategic relationship between Vietnam and India in the future.

Mr. Shafi Akhtar, representative of EEPC, highly appreciated the scale and organization of the exhibition, and affirmed that Vietnam is an important strategic partner for Indian enterprises in developing the Southeast Asian market.

With the success of VINAMAC EXPO 2024, Vietnam - India cooperation in the field of industry and technology promises to continue to develop strongly, contributing to promoting sustainable growth and international integration.
