Runner-up Thuy Van took on the role of MC at the VinFuture Awards 2024 - an event that gathered many famous scientists, was broadcast live on VTV and attracted much attention from international friends, especially scientists around the world.

For an event of international stature, the organizers are always strict to ensure success. Therefore, despite having nearly 2 decades as a host, Thuy Van must always remind herself not to be subjective.
She said: "The VinFuture Awards Ceremony is always a grandly invested event and one of the biggest events of the year. Every performance, every artist, every crew is the best. This inevitably puts pressure on me. Even though I have many years of experience hosting, I never allow myself to be subjective. I am always on time, carefully prepare the script and rehearse 2 sessions before the official event takes place."
Runner-up Thuy Van said that her hosting outfit was also carefully approved by the organizers. Therefore, she and stylist Nhat Duy had to choose 100 outfits including ao dai and dresses for the organizers to approve.
“The costumes always cause me trouble, because the organizers consider the appearance of the MC as a greeting, an introduction to international friends. I sent 100 ao dai for the organizers to choose from. The organizers and the director were satisfied with this detail but not satisfied with that detail, this color of that shape... When it came time to prepare for makeup, I still had to sit down and fix the dress a bit to meet the organizers' requirements,” Thuy Van expressed.

Backstage at the awards ceremony, Thuy Van had the opportunity to take photos and chat with billionaire Jensen Huang - CEO of Nvidia. She revealed that the Nvidia CEO complimented her when he saw her wearing a white ao dai.
"Mr. Jensen Huang kindly complimented me: 'You are very beautiful today'. I had a wonderful awards night!" , Thuy Van shared.

Nguyen Thuy Van was born in 1986, won the title of 2nd Runner-up at Miss Vietnam 2008 and the subsidiary award for Best Answer. After the contest, she focused on her career as an MC and BTV at Vietnam Television.
Thuy Van is a familiar face on the program Chuyen Dong 24h . For many consecutive years, she has been on the list of impressive MCs voted for by VTV Awards.
