Of the total 41.89 billion USD, there are 7 main markets exporting the most phones and components from Vietnam: China, the United States, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, India, Austria, and Japan.

Specifically, Vietnam exported the most phones and components to the Chinese market in the first 9 months of 2024, reaching nearly 10.86 billion USD, down 1.4% over the same period in 2023, accounting for 25.9% of the total export turnover of phones and components of all kinds of the country; in which September 2024 alone reached over 1.88 billion USD, up 19.4% over August 2024 but down 6.3% over September 2023.

The second largest market is the United States, reaching over 8.02 billion USD, up 28.8%, accounting for 19.2%; September 2024 alone decreased by 14.7% compared to August 2024 but increased by 21.5% compared to September 2023, reaching 706.53 million USD.

Next, the Korean market reached over 2.69 billion USD, accounting for 6.4%, down 0.6% over the same period in 2023; exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached over 2.54 billion USD, up sharply by 56.9%; the Indian market reached 1.42 billion USD, up 82.3%; the Austrian market reached 1.12 billion USD, down 26.56%; the Japanese market reached 1.1 billion USD, up 25.02%.

According to the forecast of Market Research Company Statista, the smartphone market in Vietnam in 2024 is expected to reach 4 billion USD, with a compound growth rate of 1.45% from 2024 - 2028.

The impressive growth reflects the strong investment in production infrastructure and research and development capabilities of enterprises in the industry. Manufacturers have continuously improved technology, enhanced product quality and diversified product portfolios to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the international market.

Notably, among the exported products, mobile phones and electronic components have accounted for a large proportion, contributing an important part to the total export value of the industry. Vietnamese products are not only popular for their diverse designs and quality but also highly appreciated for their competitive prices, creating a strong position in the international market.
