828,000 international visitors to Ninh Binh in 8 months, nearly double the whole year of 2023

On August 31, news from the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism said that in August 2024, tourist attractions in the province welcomed about 377,200 visitors, an increase of 17% over the same period last year. Of which, domestic visitors were about 302,000 (up 0.7%); international visitors were 75,100 (3.3 times higher).

According to the report, the total number of visitors to accommodation establishments in the province is estimated at 122,300, up 24.7%, the number of days guests stay is estimated at 146,900, up 10.7%. Tourism revenue in the month is estimated at 465.4 billion VND, up 18.7%.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the number of visitors to tourist attractions in Ninh Binh province is estimated at more than 6.8 million, an increase of 32.7% over the same period in 2023, of which domestic visitors are over 6 million (up 23%); international visitors are nearly 828 thousand (3.1 times higher).

The total number of visitors to accommodation establishments in the province is estimated at nearly 1.4 million, up 63%; the number of days guests stay is estimated at 1.5 million, up 39.9%. Revenue in the 8 months is estimated at nearly 6.7 trillion VND.

Trang An scenic spot, an attractive destination of Ninh Binh tourism

Notably, in August, the Ninh Binh tourism industry sent specialized staff to coordinate with relevant units to survey and make detailed plans to effectively implement the reception, traffic flow, and arrangement of means of transport to welcome a group of 4,500 people from the Indian Pharmaceutical Group to visit Trang An scenic spot from August 28.

In 2023, Ninh Binh tourism industry welcomed more than 6.5 million visitors, an increase of 77% over the same period in 2022; of which, domestic visitors welcomed more than 6.1 million, international visitors welcomed more than 450 thousand; estimated revenue reached more than 6,516 billion VND.
