The total number of patients currently being treated at health care facilities as of February 1, 2025 is 127,395 people.

During the 8-day Tet holiday from January 25 to February 1, 2025, medical facilities provided medical examinations and emergency care to 548,151 patients. The total number of inpatients admitted for treatment in the past 8 days was 194,457.

The number of surgeries in the past 24 hours was 2,523, the total number of surgeries in the 8-day Tet holiday was 19,262, of which 3,275 were emergency surgeries due to accidents.

During 8 days of Tet holiday, 709 people were hospitalized due to digestive disorders and food poisoning.

In the past 24 hours, medical facilities delivered and performed cesarean sections to welcome 2,458 babies. The total number of deliveries and cesarean sections during the 8-day Tet holiday was 16,508 babies.

The number of suspected deaths due to traffic accidents is 20 people, of which 7 people died before arriving at the medical facility, 4 people died at the medical facility and 9 people were expected to die after being discharged.

During the 8 days of Tet, the total number of suspected deaths due to traffic accidents was 159 people, of which 66 people died before arriving at a medical facility, 38 people died at a medical facility, and 55 people were expected to die after being discharged.

In the past 24 hours from January 31 to February 1, there were 21 cases of medical examination and emergency treatment due to firecrackers and fireworks; there were 5 cases of medical examination and emergency treatment due to accidents caused by homemade weapons and explosives. During the 8-day Tet holiday, there were 481 cases of medical examination and emergency treatment due to firecrackers and fireworks; 47 cases of medical examination and emergency treatment due to accidents caused by homemade weapons and explosives; no deaths were recorded.

The Ministry of Health also said that in the past 24 hours, there were 125 people who came to the emergency room for digestive disorders, food poisoning from home-cooked food, and alcohol/beer intoxication, of which 73 people had to be hospitalized for monitoring and treatment. During the 8-day Tet holiday, there were 709 people who came to the emergency room for digestive disorders, food poisoning from home-cooked food, and alcohol/beer intoxication, of which 442 people had to be hospitalized for monitoring and treatment, and no deaths were recorded.
