Dragon boat racing on Da Rang river
This year’s Tuy Hoa City Traditional Dragon Boat Racing Festival brings together 32 teams from 16 wards and communes in the city. Each team has 24 athletes, not only experienced fishermen but also old farmers and young men and women who are strong enough to compete together. The teams compete in 2 categories: men’s boat 4 km, women’s boat 3 km.
The cheers from the boats and the cheers of thousands of fans on the shore created an extremely exciting atmosphere on the banks of the Da Rang River.
Crowds of fans on both sides of the river cheered for the competing teams.
After nearly 4 hours of competition, the first prize for the men's dragon boat race went to team P.7, the second prize for team P.2, and the third prize for team Binh Ngoc; the first prize for the women's dragon boat race went to team P.2, the second prize went to team P.7, and the third prize went to team Phu Dong.
