The National Youth Informatics Competition is a prestigious playground in the field of informatics, held annually since 1995, making an important contribution to discovering young informatics talents, while promoting the movement of learning and mastering information technology among young people, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve the national digital transformation and national development.

In 2023, with the working theme "Year of digital transformation of the Union's activities", the Contest continues to have innovations to adapt to the fast and strong development environment of science, technology and innovation.
At the Award Ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet praised the 48 provincial and municipal Youth Unions for their efforts and active deployment of the Contest to a large number of union members and young people; well-organized the Provincial Contest from the beginning of the year, through regional rounds, thereby selecting 166 excellent candidates from 31 provinces and cities nationwide to compete in the National Final Round.
The Central Youth Union Secretariat highly appreciated the efforts and innovations of the Organizing Committee of the 2023 National Competition in the content and organization methods, ensuring updates on technological developments in the world while being suitable and attractive to young people.
Compared to 2022, the number of contestants participating in this year's Regional Round increased by 17%. Many entries were of high professional quality, demonstrating intelligence and strong creativity; helping young people satisfy their passion for programming, design, and creating creative products.
The National Finals were an exciting, dramatic and dramatic competition between the contestants. Regarding individual prizes, the Organizing Committee awarded 6 First prizes to contestants in 5 groups (1 group did not have a First prize), including: Duong Pham Minh Quang (Hanoi), Dang Huy Hau (Lam Dong), Nguyen Phu Nhan (Da Nang), Le Kien Thanh (Binh Dinh), Le Viet Nam Khoi and Nguyen Minh Nhat Huy (Ho Chi Minh City); 16 Second prizes, 27 Third prizes and 76 Encouragement prizes.
Regarding the overall ranking, first place belongs to Ho Chi Minh City delegation, second place belongs to Hanoi city delegation, and third place belongs to Da Nang city delegation.
Each individual First Prize winner will receive the Creative Youth Badge of the Central Youth Union, a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training along with a cash prize. The Second, Third and Encouragement Prize winners will each receive a Certificate of Merit, a Certificate and corresponding prizes according to the rules.
For the overall team award, each award receives a Certificate of Merit and corresponding prize.
