In 2023, the Hanoi Journalists Association will continue to organize traditional sports activities to celebrate the holidays of the capital and the country, especially towards the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the men's football event within the 28th Hanoi Journalists Association Sports Festival in 2023, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Journalists Association Kieu Thanh Hung said that the annual Sports Festival has attracted a large number of officials and journalist members from the capital's press agencies, central press agencies, ministries and branches in the area, and Journalists Associations of some neighboring provinces and cities to participate.

The men's football event will have the participation of 6 teams including Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, Dan Viet Newspaper, Ha Noi Moi Newspaper and Hanoi Radio and Television Station. The teams are divided into 2 groups, competing in the round robin to determine the team that will enter the semi-finals and finals.
The Sports Festival has become a healthy, useful and meaningful playground, demonstrating solidarity, attachment and exchange between journalist members, cadres and employees of Hanoi press agencies with press management agencies, central press agencies, ministries, branches and Journalists Associations of neighboring provinces and cities.
Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, the first matches will take place with excitement, the teams will compete from October 30 to November 3. According to the plan, the Opening Ceremony of the 28th Hanoi Journalists Association Open 2023 will be held on November 2 at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium, with the following competitions: Table tennis, Chinese chess, badminton, tug of war, walking.
