(HNMO) - On the evening of May 28, at the Hanoi Children's Palace, the City Youth Union - Hanoi City Young Pioneers Council organized the Summer Opening and Response to the Month of Action for Children 2023; celebrating the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Children's Palace (June 1, 1955 - June 1, 2023), with the participation of more than 400 children in the capital.
Speaking at the opening of the summer, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi City Youth Council Dao Duc Viet said that on June 1, 1955, the Hanoi Children's Club - the predecessor of the Hanoi Children's Palace was established, attracting tens of thousands of children to participate in activities, becoming the leading flag in the movement "Small deeds, big meaning, fighting against America to save the country" of Hanoi children. After 68 years of construction and development, the Palace has become a prestigious and quality unit nationwide in out-of-school education for children.
With the desire to give the children of the capital a useful and meaningful summer vacation, the City Youth Union - City Pioneers' Council together with the Youth Union - Pioneers' Council at all levels focused on organizing many activities to build a safe, friendly and comprehensive living environment for children.
The 2023 Children's Action Month with the theme "Joining hands to reduce harm to children" aims to strengthen and further enhance awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, agencies, units, families and the children themselves in implementing the Law on Children and preventing and combating child abuse, violence and injuries...
At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 50 gifts and scholarships to children in difficult circumstances, students with good achievements in studying and training; summarized and awarded prizes for the contest "Children of the Capital programming with Codekitten" for the 2022-2023 school year.
In particular, delegates and children of the capital participated in signing a souvenir symbol to congratulate Hanoi Children's Palace "68 seasons of flowers - Where wings spread far".
Immediately after that, the children were immersed in a special art program performed by children and guest artists; participated in folk games, group activities and received many gifts from the Organizing Committee.
