The 30/4 and 1/5 holiday this year lasted 5 days, along with hot weather, temperatures in many areas reaching over 40 degrees Celsius, coinciding with the opening of the sea tourism festival and the inauguration of the Sea Square, the festival landscape axis, so the number of visitors "pouring" into Sam Son City to visit and experience increased dramatically.
According to information from the People's Committee of Sam Son City, during the 5-day holiday, the city is estimated to welcome 905,000 visitors, an increase of 106.5% compared to the 2023 holiday; the number of visitor days is estimated at about 1.8 million days, an increase of 104.6% compared to 2023; total revenue from tourism is estimated at nearly 1,900 billion VND. This is a good sign for Sam Son tourism, contributing significantly to the completion of the goal of welcoming 8.5 million visitors in the whole year of 2024.
One of the reasons why Sam Son City welcomes a large number of visitors is, in addition to the beautiful beach, the breakthrough in infrastructure, service quality and many innovations in tourism culture. In particular, during the opening ceremony of the sea tourism festival and the inauguration of the Sea Square, the city's festival landscape axis, many exciting activities took place, such as: Hosting the national beach tennis championship "VTV Cup 8"; Thanh Hoa culinary and specialty festival; Sam Son golf, table tennis, badminton, summer tennis tournament; market displaying, introducing and promoting OCOP products and Thanh Hoa cuisine; super kite flying festival; special water music performances at the Sea Square... With beautiful beaches and a variety of tourism products, sea tourism here continues to affirm its special attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
Despite the high number of visitors, due to careful preparation in advance and close supervision by local authorities, there was no pressure or price increase in the city. In addition, the management boards of tourist areas and sites and the authorities have closely coordinated to ensure security, order and safety of destinations, and to ensure the best conditions for serving tourists.
