In 5 years, Tien Phuoc has more than 13,400 good farming and business households

(QNO) - This morning, June 20, the Tien Phuoc District Farmers' Association held its 10th Congress (term 2023 - 2028) with the participation of 186 delegates representing more than 12,400 farmers in the district. In the past 5 years, Tien Phuoc district has had more than 35 thousand farming households register for the title of good farmers and businessmen. Through evaluation, more than 13,400 households have been recognized as achieving the title (an increase of 979 households compared to the previous term).

The associations at all levels directly guided and established 30 new cooperatives, 29 cooperative groups, and clubs of good farmers and businessmen; built 8 branches and 9 professional associations, 61 model new rural residential clusters and groups...

The District Farmers' Association received capital from the Farmers' Support Fund at higher levels with 22 projects, 250 households borrowing with a budget of more than 15 billion VND; coordinated with the District Social Policy Bank to create conditions for more than 4,000 farming households to borrow capital to develop production with a total outstanding loan of more than 140 billion VND.

The Association coordinated to organize 27 vocational training classes; more than 500 training classes, guiding the transfer of scientific and technical advances; organized 52 study tours on production techniques. Mobilized farmers to renovate and repair nearly 50km of roads; installed more than 1,000 lighting bulbs with a budget of more than 2.3 billion VND.

The Association launched the establishment of 47 rural environmental protection clubs in clusters, residential groups, and residential areas, providing more than 1,400 waste baskets; mobilizing 933 households to renovate their home gardens; 800 households to build fences, gates, and relocate livestock barns to hygienic standards. The grassroots Association helped 156 households escape poverty sustainably.

During the term, the District Farmers' Association was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag, 4 Certificates of Merit... The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Tien Phuoc District Farmers' Association, term X, consisting of 22 members; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the District Farmers' Association.

On this occasion, the Provincial Farmers' Association, Tien Phuoc District People's Committee and the District Farmers' Association commended and rewarded 10 collectives and 15 individuals who excellently completed the tasks of the association and the farmers' movement in the past term.
