Ha and her husband traveled from Ha Tinh to Hanoi and arrived at Hoa Lac High School in the early afternoon, earlier than the scheduled appointment with Huy Hoang - the eldest son, who is a boarding student there. That day, the whole family reunited to attend the High School Graduation Ceremony of Hoang and his friends.
Sitting in the stands, watching her once shy son confidently and proudly walk up to the stage to receive his diploma, Ms. Ha silently shed tears of happiness. Especially when she heard her son share: "I thank my teachers and my parents for giving us the opportunity to have brilliant youth years at TH School boarding school."

After the ceremony, another mother was in tears as she watched her daughter reluctantly say goodbye to her roommates, who were from the North and the South, or even from another country. Moving from another international school to the boarding environment of TH School, Minh Ha not only integrated very quickly with her friends and teachers, but also felt happy when she had more good friends around her. Discipline has permeated us naturally.
A day at boarding school begins before 7am. After a good night’s sleep, students go to class and return to the common area by 3pm. Students continue with fun activities, sports, personal activities and enjoy dinner together.
Discipline is one of the strengths that the boarding environment at TH School has firmly fostered in students.
Activities, especially bedtime, are designed to optimize health development and to suit the psychology of each age group. From 6pm to 10pm-10:30pm is self-study time, with a 45-minute break in between. Phones are only allowed to be used at this time.
Sending both children to boarding school, Ms. Diep Anh realized that this organization forces students to know how to arrange their time to complete everything on schedule, not mixing studying with break time and sleeping time. The weekend program is usually planned in advance by the student development support team, but is also flexibly adjusted to follow the developments of life.
A week before the closing ceremony, students visited the art exhibition “Bright Light” – a rare cultural event introducing famous works by Dutch artists – an activity that even many people living in the capital may not have known about.
Ms. Dao Thanh Thuy, Boarding Director, said that the student development care system is organized professionally and systematically. The student schedule is referenced according to the standards of the Australian Boarding School Association, of which TH School Hoa Lac is a member. The student development staff is also trained in systematic procedures and is updated with expertise every year.
Students of TH School always remember their dedicated teachers.
Another thing that both parents and students love about the school is the closeness, friendliness and dedication of the teachers. “Luckily, there are always teachers and administrators by our side, silently caring for, looking after and protecting the students” - Dieu Linh was moved when looking back on 5 years of being attached to the TH School Hoa Lac family.
At the end of their high school years, TH School students always remember the dedicated teachers who were always ready to answer emails asking about homework, even after working hours or even during vacation.
“Once, in the middle of a summer afternoon, Mr. Phillips even took the whole Business class for a walk to a cafe near the school to drink coffee and observe the menu, the decoration and the communication of the staff to understand the concept of 4Ps and 4Cs in Marketing. The teachers were very dedicated to teaching and tried to give us the experience of learning while doing,” Tram Anh recalled.

"I always love the food at my school" - after 4 years of studying and boarding at TH School, Dieu Anh still maintains the same opinion about the school's cuisine.

“We eat very delicious and scientific food. Drinks are diverse, from fresh milk, nut milk, fruit juices... The cuisine at TH School deserves 5 stars! What impressed me was that every Monday there is a green vegetable day - on that day, the chefs prepare many delicious dishes from vegetables, tubers, fruits...
Experiencing environmentally friendly food makes her feel comfortable ,” Dieu Anh added that she will go to the US to study at the end of June, and that civilized, environmentally friendly lifestyle makes her more confident when stepping out into the world.
Seeing her child after each vacation, Dieu Anh’s mother saw that her child had not only grown up and become healthier, but also that “her skin had become much more beautiful”. The healthy environment at Hoa Lac boarding school made her family feel secure enough to send their second child to the school from grade 8.
