Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan - Chairman of Tri Thuc Yoga Company, National Yoga Referee, and General Director of the record-breaking Vietnamese flag formation performance - said that laying the carpet is one of the most important parts of the event.
More than 100 volunteers worked continuously for 2-3 hours, interrupted by rain, trying to spread carpet to fill the 105 x 68m stadium (Photo: Thanh Dong).
"We also prepared accessories of 5,000 red and yellow square scarves. Yogis (yoga lovers and practitioners) will use both hands to raise the scarves high above their heads, forming the shape of the Vietnamese flag covering the stadium's grass," said Mr. Quan.
A yoga instructor on stage will guide 5,000 people to perform in unison, including many effects: Raising a towel to gradually fall from top to bottom; raising a towel to gradually fall from left to right; spreading from the center of the star to the corners..., creating impressive moments of harmony, attracting the eyes of anyone present at the Dan Tri Yoga Festival (Photo: Huu Khoa).
"This is the biggest yoga program ever in Vietnam. When I accepted the invitation to participate in the program and also be a consultant for the Vietnamese flag formation performance, I was very honored and proud," said Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan (Photo: Thanh Dong).
Mr. Quan hopes that Dan Tri Yoga Festival will make a big splash not only with the Vietnamese yoga community but also with international friends. "Our efforts - those who love and practice yoga in Vietnam - are trying, trying to bring this subject to the world," said the General Director (Photo: Huu Khoa).
