45 days and nights to handle officials, civil servants, and armed forces violating alcohol concentration

VOV.VN - This morning (September 23), the Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police and relevant agencies and localities to launch a 45-day and night campaign to handle traffic violations.
The Traffic Safety Committee said that this is a task that the committee performs according to Directive No. 06/2024 of the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on strengthening the implementation of measures to ensure traffic order and safety and reduce traffic accidents in the province. According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, in addition to handling traffic participants who violate traffic safety, the subjects handled during this peak period are also cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces who violate and do not cooperate with the authorities.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police will mobilize all forces to set up checkpoints and patrol immediately after the peak military launch ceremony.
During the process of patrolling, checking and handling traffic law violations, the competent authorities must adhere to the spirit of "rule of law", "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", not accept intervention or influence to ignore violations; strictly discipline officers who do not thoroughly handle or ignore violations.
During the 45 peak days, violations will be strictly handled, no restricted areas, no intervention. According to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police, from August 14 to September 14, there were 25 road traffic accidents in the area, including 13 serious accidents, killing 13 people and injuring 18 people, down 11 cases and 3 deaths compared to the previous month. In September, the local traffic police force recorded more than 7,200 cases of traffic safety violations, including more than 1,860 violations of alcohol concentration, and issued administrative fines for more than 5,470 cases with a total fine of over 12 billion VND.
