Yesterday (March 5), the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University and College Bloc decided to appoint Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Nguyen Trong Hao to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Party Secretary of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on January 9, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs announced the decision to recognize the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine for the 2020-2025 term. According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hao was recognized as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine for the 2020-2025 term, replacing Mr. Ngo Minh Xuan who is past the age limit to hold leadership and management positions according to regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hao was born in 1978, is a doctor of medicine. Mr. Hao has held many different positions and tasks at the Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital before being appointed as the hospital director in 2016. In addition to hospital management, Mr. Hao also directly participates in professional work, teaching at university and postgraduate levels, scientific research, organizing training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences at regional level... In 2023, Mr. Hao was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor.

With the decision to recognize the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine for the 2020-2025 term by the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Hao was transferred from Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital to work at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.

Also according to the decision in early January of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Kim Vu, Chairman of the Trade Union, Deputy Head of the Department of Clinical Practice Management of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, holds the position of member of the School Council to replace Mr. Pham Hieu Liem, former Head of the School's Training Department, who has accepted another assignment.

The Board of Directors of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine for the 2020-2025 term currently has 21 members. Of which, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Principal of the school, is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Notably, among the Board members are 4 deputy directors of departments in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture and Sports, and Department of Home Affairs.

In addition, the Board of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine also has 3 other hospital directors participating as members such as: Director of People's Hospital 115, Director of Central Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Ho Chi Minh City, Director of Binh Dan Hospital.
