30 businesses using a lot of electricity in Hai Duong city committed to not using more than the maximum capacity during peak hours.

The customer representative is a business with large electricity consumption output, expressing his wish to receive support from Hai Duong City Electricity when participating in the program.

In 2024, in order to reduce the peak load capacity of the national power system during peak hours, the Northern Power Corporation will shift the electricity load of customers with large electricity consumption. Accordingly, customers participating in the load shifting program must have a consumption output of over 1 million kWh/year. Customers participating in the program will register and commit to not using more than the maximum capacity during peak hours (from 12 - 15:00, 21 - 24:00 in May, June, July and from 17:30 - 19:00 in the remaining months of 2024). Customers will have to change their electricity usage habits to ensure stable grid operation, reducing the pressure on electricity supply during peak hours of the system.

Hai Duong City Electricity has collected and identified the load growth chart and electricity usage plan in 2024 of major customers so that customers can shift load as committed.

To make the load shifting of large electricity consuming customers practical, from April 2024, Hai Duong City Electricity and customers will proactively monitor the load shifting and promptly inform when customers have a shifting capacity exceeding the allocated threshold.

According to the forecast for 2024, the risk of power shortages due to extreme weather is still possible, while the power source has not changed much, the demand for electricity is still high. Saving electricity and shifting loads is essential to ensure stable operation of the power system, minimizing reductions.

At the program, 30 major customers signed a commitment to shift load with Hai Duong City Electricity.
