On July 17, at the ICISE Center (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province), the Vietnam Science Association opened the "8th Vietnam Class on Astrophysics (VSOA8)", with the participation of 28 young scientists and researchers from 8 countries.
VSOA8 is taught by 6 professors and doctors of astrophysics from: Vietnam Space Center, University of Malaya (Malaysia); Nagoya University (Japan), Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (Germany), Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI), Leiden University (Netherlands)... The class will provide students with knowledge from theory to practice about the formation and evolution of stars. Students will also have the opportunity to interact, discuss, and conduct experiments directly with professors and lecturers to clarify their questions.
Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Science Association, emphasized: “Through VSOA classes, we hope to contribute to promoting astronomy research in Vietnam, while creating opportunities for students, postgraduates, lecturers, and young researchers in the country to exchange and learn from leading international scientists and seek foreign scholarships.”
