244 candidates in Thai Binh from "passing" to "failing" continue to go to school

Most candidates who "pass" or "fail" continue to participate in the study.

On the afternoon of September 5, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Deputy Director of Thai Binh Departmentof Education and Training - said that as of the end of September 4, out of 260 candidates who announced their admission to grade 10 high school before August 20 but did not pass the first and second rounds (after August 20); after additional admission, there were 30 candidates admitted to public high schools, 141 candidates admitted to private high schools, 73 candidates admitted to Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers, 3 candidates reported not enrolling before August 20, 13 candidates had no admission information.

"After announcing the inspection results, the education sector at all levels organized guidance and consultation for students and parents about additional admission forms, but it is possible that the families and candidates themselves had other options, so they did not inform and did not participate in the additional admission. Therefore, only 16 candidates did not continue to study.

Up to this point, we have tried our best to resolve the problem of essay test replays in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, ensuring that students and their families who have the need and desire have the opportunity to participate in learning in different environments, suitable to the candidates' abilities and circumstances. The opening ceremony at all levels and blocks across the province, especially the first block of high school, took place promptly, according to the plan and school year schedule approved by the Provincial People's Committee," Mr. Phong added.

Thus, with the results announced of 14,763 students passing the first round on August 20, and 1,532 students passing the second round on August 23; after 3 rounds of admission after the inspection conclusion, the whole Thai Binh province has a total of 16,325 students passing the entrance exam to grade 10 at 29 public high schools and 1 specialized high school.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Dong Hung Ha High School (Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province) welcomed nearly 1,600 students in grades 10, 11, and 12; of which 538 students passed the recent 10th grade entrance exam.

Notably, Dong Hung Ha High School and Phu Duc High School (Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province) are two high schools, or two examination councils, that did not record any incidents of re-matching (mismatching) essay exams in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province.

In the previous school year 2023-2024, the school's rate of students with good conduct reached 94.18%; the rate of students with excellent academic performance reached 51.3%; the high school graduation exam rate reached 100% (including Literature and Civic Education subjects in the top 10 of Thai Binh province); 34/56 students won provincial-level excellent student awards; 1 provincial-level science and technology second prize; the rate of students passing university, college and intermediate school exams reached 75%.

“The 2023-2024 school year is also the first time in 37 years of construction and development that the school has a women's basketball team representing the province in the national high school sports competition and won a bronze medal,” Mr. Khieu Minh Dung - Principal of Dong Hung Ha High School - informed in his speech welcoming the opening of the new school year 2024-2025.

Joy at the high school that just had the valedictorian of block A00 nationwide

In Thai Thuy district, on the morning of September 5, Mr. Ngo Dong Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh province - attended and shared joy with teachers and students of Tay Thuy Anh High School on the first day of the new school year.

According to the report, in the 2023-2024 school year, the staff and teachers of Tay Thuy Anh High School united and made efforts to synchronously implement many solutions to comprehensively improve the quality of education, excellently completing the school year's tasks.

The quality of education has been improved, the number of students winning prizes in excellent student competitions and passing university and college entrance exams has increased. The quality of high school graduation exams in the 2023-2024 school year ranked fourth in Thai Binh province.

In particular, the school has 1 student who is the national valedictorian of block A00, 1 student who is the valedictorian of Thai Binh province block A01. The results of the exam to select excellent students in grade 12, 52/63 students took the exam and won prizes... Entering the 2024 - 2025 school year, Tay Thuy Anh High School has 1,755 students in 3 grades.

On the occasion of the new school year, Thai Binh Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Dong Hai presented 10 gifts to students who have overcome difficulties to study well, hoping that they will continue to strive to achieve high results this school year.
