According to a report from the Thai Binh Traffic Police Department, 4 vehicles were detected violating the law through the surveillance camera system, with the fault of not obeying traffic lights. This is one of the common and dangerous violations, seriously affecting the safety of traffic participants.
The fine for running a red light is stipulated in Point a, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), according to which the driver of the violating car will be fined from 4,000,000 - 6,000,000 VND. In addition to the fine, the violator will also have their driving license revoked for 1 - 3 months. In case the violation causes an accident, the additional fine may increase, with the driving license revocation period lasting from 2 - 4 months.
In addition to traffic signal-related violations, Thai Binh Traffic Police also detected 17 speeding violations during patrols. These vehicles were found to be operating at speeds exceeding the regulations, endangering the drivers themselves and other vehicles.
Specifically, the fine for speeding is prescribed as follows:
Exceeding speed by 5 - 10km/h: Fine from 800,000 - 1,000,000 VND.
Speeding from 10 - 20km/h: Fine from 4,000,000 - 6,000,000 VND and driver's license revocation from 1 - 3 months.
Exceeding the speed limit by 20 - 35km/h: Fine from 6,000,000 - 8,000,000 VND and driver's license revocation from 2 - 4 months.

People with vehicles violating the law when coming to pay the fine need to prepare all the necessary documents including:
Vehicle registration.
Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection.
Driving license.
Citizen identification card (each type of document requires 1 photocopy).
Increasing fines through the surveillance camera system not only helps to increase the severity of the law but is also an effective measure to reduce violations, contributing to ensuring traffic safety for the community.
