Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Development Company (BVEC) said that tonight, at 8:00 p.m., vehicles traveling from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Dong Nai will be able to circulate normally again on a 700m stretch of road in front of Son Tien tourist area (Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province), on National Highway 51.
This section of road was closed for repairs three days ago.
Previously, this road section was considered by drivers to be a "black spot" for its deterioration. A series of potholes appeared, affecting traffic and posing a potential risk of accidents.
To remedy the situation, BVEC decided to carry out emergency repairs. Construction units have removed the old asphalt layer and laid new hot asphalt concrete to ensure the quality and durability of the road.
During construction, the road was temporarily closed to ensure worker safety and construction quality.
Vehicles traveling from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Dong Nai have been diverted through roundabout gate 11 and then turned left to continue their journey.
As VietNamNet reported, National Highway 51 is the main road connecting the two provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. However, the road has been degraded with a "matrix" of potholes, affecting traffic as well as people's lives.
