14 works awarded at the Red River Delta Regional Art Photography Festival

On the morning of August 29, the opening ceremony of the 25th Red River Delta Art Photography Festival in 2023 took place at the Thai Binh Provincial Museum. Attending the event were comrades: Pham Dong Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Thi Bich Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the photo exhibition within the framework of the festival.

The 25th Red River Delta Art Photography Festival in 2023, organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in collaboration with the Thai Binh Provincial Literature and Arts Association with the theme "Red River Delta Culture - A Place of Convergence and Development", attracted 1,912 works by 281 authors from 9 provinces and cities in the region: Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh and Thai Binh.

The works participating in the festival all reflect the beauty of nature, country and people in the Red River Delta region; achievements in economy, science and technology, social security, national defense - security, enhanced international exchange and integration; advanced examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; reflecting the beauty of craft villages, scenic spots, and the beauty in the spiritual and cultural life of the people in preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.

Through the festival, it has inspired and encouraged authors to innovate their artistic thinking, expand their topics, themes, and creative range. This is also an opportunity for the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to coordinate with provinces and cities to promote the movement of creating artistic photos to serve the political tasks and cultural and spiritual life of the people, bringing photography to the public, especially art lovers.

Comrade Pham Dong Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presented flowers of congratulations.

Through many rounds of scoring, the festival's jury selected 148 works to display at the exhibition, and awarded prizes to 14 of the festival's best works. The Organizing Committee awarded the festival's Gold Medal to the work "Long Khe Temple Festival", photo series category by author Nguyen Viet Rung (Hai Phong); Silver Medals to the works: "Shaping Phu Lang Pottery", single photo category by author Ly Viet Dung (Bac Ninh); "Books are friends - Knowledge", single photo category by author Nguyen Trong Hieu (Bac Ninh); "Spring Beauty", single photo category by author Nguyen Phuc Anh (Thai Binh). The festival's Team Award was awarded to the Quang Ninh Literature and Arts Association and the Hai Phong City Literature and Arts Association. A total of 15 works by Thai Binh artists were displayed at the exhibition, 3 works were awarded prizes at the festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Tran Thi Bich Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, shared joy and congratulated the achievements of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the literary and artistic associations of provinces and cities in the region. She affirmed: Each work on display is a beautiful, authentic, and vivid moment, clearly expressing the aspiration to rise up in the cause of innovation and socio-economic development, creating for viewers emotions of love for the land and people of the Red River Delta region. As the host of the 25th Red River Delta Art Photography Festival in 2023, Thai Binh has actively and proactively prepared the conditions for the organization of the festival to be a great success; hoping that during the festival, the image of the fertile alluvial land of Thai Binh; the dynamic, innovative, creative and aspirational Thai Binh people will leave a good impression on every visitor.

At the opening ceremony of the 25th Red River Delta Art Photography Festival in 2023, the President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists presented the medal for the development of Vietnamese photography to the provincial leaders, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the provincial Literature and Arts Association. The leaders of the provincial Literature and Arts Association presented souvenir flags to the units participating in the festival and a rotating flag to the Ninh Binh Literature and Arts Association - the host unit of the 26th Red River Delta Art Photography Festival in 2024.

The works will be exhibited from August 29 to September 5 at the Provincial Museum.
