It is expected that teachers will not be banned from organizing extra classes outside of school.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just introduced a draft circular regulating extra teaching and learning. In particular, a notable change compared to current regulations is the removal of the regulation that public school teachers are not allowed to organize extra teaching and learning outside of school.
Currently, Circular 17 on the management of extra teaching and learning has Article 4 clearly stating cases where extra teaching is not allowed. In which, it stipulates that teachers who are receiving salaries from the salary fund of public service units are not allowed to organize extra teaching and learning outside of school, and are not allowed to teach extra outside of the school for students that the teacher is teaching in the main curriculum without permission from the head of the agency.
However, the draft circular that the Ministry of Education and Training has just announced and is soliciting public opinion (if approved, it will replace Circular 17) no longer has the above provision.
Thai Binh announces 10th grade admission scores, round 2 after inspection
The Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province has just announced the admission scores for the second round of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.
Accordingly, the whole province has 1,532 candidates admitted to 29 high schools in the area in the second round, after the results of the inspection of the organization of enrollment. Of which, Nguyen Duc Canh High School has the highest admission score in the second round (36.6 points), while Hung Nhan High School and Thai Ninh High School have the lowest admission score (both 27.1 points). Ho Chi Minh City's specialized schools allow students to study university credits
In the coming school year, the Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will organize online teaching of 5 general subjects. The credits of the above subjects will be recognized when students continue their university studies at schools in the Ho Chi Minh City National University system. ( see details )

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training gives 'strict' instructions to American International School
On August 20, Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City chaired a meeting on educational activities of the American International School (AISVN) Primary, Middle and High School.
After listening to the opinions of the relevant parties, Mr. Bao requested that AISVN School not organize any educational activities during the suspension period. The Department's leaders also requested that the school notify parents of the transfer and guide parents through the transfer procedures.
