Seeing that the press kept launching the 10th day to worship Than Tai, the gold shop no longer had gold for sale, so it became familiar. So worshiping the 10th day is to worship Than Tai, is that right?

Just keep up the customs that we think is right

On the 10th day of the 10th, people in the South had the custom of making an offering to the professional deity who liked to sit at the altar "close to the ground" and looked toward the main door. That tray includes a set of three slugs such as shrimp, crab, and duck seeds for Than Tai, adding a plate of fresh vermicelli, a plate of raw vegetables, a plate of betel and areca, especially in the original Southern period, there must be grilled snakehead fish.

Many people called on the 10th day to worship Than Tai, I strongly rejected and opposed. Looking at the way of worship, we know not to worship Mr. Than Tai, Than Tai is a product of the Chinese people and later brought to worship together with Ong Dia. Because Chinese history has not mentioned Mr. Than Tai who sits on the ground ... eat grilled snakehead fish!

In the house of the Cochinchine people, there is Mr. Dia representing the land, sitting at the altar close to the ground, but in the North, outside of China and the Chinese in other countries do not have this custom. Grilled snakehead fish is a typical dish of our ancestors in the ancient times of the country. The snakehead fish was caught in the river, in the field and below to catch it so that it had enough intestines and fish scales, and the whole child struggled ... Then he put the tree up in his throat and stood up, covered him with straw. Ripe, when ripe, leave it as a plate and place it in front of Ong Dia altar to worship the 10th day.

There is a plate of vermicelli, along with vegetables. After offering, eat grilled snakehead fish with rice paper wrapped with popular vegetables such as banana, pineapple, lettuce, cucumber, basil ... and have to add fish sauce. What is Grilled Pork? It is like a knife in red fire, covered in fire. From folk cuisine, grilled snakehead fish of the former Luc province residents was up to the shrine of the 10th floor to become a custom. Originally, the 10th customary practice was to worship Tho mantra, or land. Elderly people in the South still call for the 10th day to worship the land, to worship the land, and to worship the land.

Offering Tho mantra, which is the land owner, also evokes the image of the former landowner who is the Khmer (Tho people), the compulsory dish is a grilled snakehead fish, later there is a set of slugs of boiled crab, shrimp or bacon., duck seeds. Uncle Tho ate, so the whole tray of grilled snakehead fish, the set of three slugs offered, did not have any spoon or fork!

What does Uncle Tho suggest? Nam Ky was also called the land of Cochinchina by his grandparents because the land of Cochinchina was originally called the land of the Khmer people, said "nominally" because Cochinchina was the land of Phu Nam, after which the Khmer claimed sovereignty but the people. Living on this land very few became the land of ancient Nam Ky, almost derelict. But when entering here, the Vietnamese met the indigenous Khmer with curly hair, black skin, and eyes, who were living in the South.

The hexagram number 2 in the I Ching is Thuan Khone, a soft, gentle land, in the sense of a peaceful, friendly life and good adaptability. The Southern people called their oldest son the second brother, no eldest brother, number two (Dat) was the biggest because the Nam Ky people reclaimed the land, sought new land to survive but created the Nam Ky Luc Tinh civilization. This country spirit is very important. We remember that in the Southern Vietnamese worshiping ceremonies, there was always a land tray, the Southern altar always had Mr. Dia in the middle of the house. That is the Southern region took the hexagram Thuan Khone (earth) as its weight.

In the past, our ancestors of the South Vietnam took care of farming and gardening. The Southern civilization was a garden civilization, but we were new immigrants, so the land was very important, we worshiped important land, our people did not do business like the Chinese. To worship god of wealth to "wish" to buy and sell a capital of four words? Later, the Chinese influenced the people, so they worshiped the god of fortune with Mr. Dia, and many people said that the 10th anniversary of worship is for the god of wealth. Later on, the god of wealth "ate" Uncle Tho and imitated the Chinese people to worship sugarcane. After that, it turns out the 10th day to become "the day of god of fortune". In fact, the original Southern people and the Vietnamese did not offer sugar cane.

Saying to worship the 10th day is to worship the god of wealth, to swap the concept. This country still calls the 10th day to worship land or to worship homes. Affirming that, Luc Tinh worshiped the 10th of January to worship the land, thanks to Uncle Tho for keeping the wealth and happiness of the house. Americans have Thanksgiving Day that takes place on the fifth day of week 4 in November, when Luc Tỉnh has Thanksgiving Day on January 10. Offering land is to give thanks to the land for a good season, to bring peace to the house and to remember the people who have died in the process of forming southern land. Uncle Tho has images of Tho Dia and Ong Ta Nam Ky of Khmer descent.

Offering grilled snakehead fish on the 10th day is a cultural custom of the Southern Luc Tinh people in the past. It is a dish reminiscent of the reclaimed origin of our grandparents' time as a reclaiming resident. That is the origin of the Cochinchine people, so we have to keep it. Offering snakehead fish is to give thanks to the land, it is a folk custom, it does not involve any religion. And also do not draw more snake legs, import things that are not yours, but bring a reputation.
