インテリジェント コネクテッド ビークル (ICV) は、センサー、ソフトウェア、高度なテクノロジーを搭載した車両であり、車両同士や周囲のインフラストラクチャと接続して対話することができます。これらの車両は、人間の介入なしに情報を交換し、環境を認識し、意思決定を行うことができます。
ICV を路上でテストすることで、メーカーやテクノロジー企業は実際の環境で自動運転システムをテストし、改善することができます。これらのテストは、公道におけるICVの性能と安全性に関する結果を得て、信頼性の高い自律技術の開発に貢献し、スマート車両の導入を加速し、輸送業界の未来を変えます。
世界最大の自動車産業を有する国として知られる中国は、長期戦略計画の重要な部分としてICVに重点を置いています。世界的な経営コンサルティング会社マッキンゼーの報告書によると、中国は世界最大の自動運転車市場になる見込みで、こうした車両とモビリティサービスによる収益は2030年までに5000億ドルを超えると予想されている。
2023年11月、中国工業情報化部は、この試験ライセンスが中国の分類システムにおけるレベル3と4の自動運転車に適用されることを明らかにした。この動きは、中国が自動運転技術を推進し、それを自国のインフラに統合するという決意を示している。
自動運転車のレベル 3 と 4 は、車両の自律性のレベルを表すために定義された分類です。レベル 3 は条件付き自動化を表し、車両は運転タスクのほとんどの側面を管理できますが、特定の状況では人間の介入が必要になる場合があります。レベル 4 は高度な自動化を表し、車両は特定の条件と環境において、人間の介入なしにすべての運転機能を実行できます。
中国は公道でのICVテストを許可することで、自動車メーカーやテクノロジー企業が自動運転システムを改善するための好ましい環境を整えている。これらのテストは、ICV が安全性とパフォーマンスの基準を満たしていることを確認するだけでなく、都市向けのスマートな輸送ソリューションの開発を促進します。
