Posthumously awarded the Fatherland Protection Medal to Lieutenant Colonel Tang Ba Hung

Lieutenant Colonel, Professional Soldier Tang Ba Hung, born in 1978; hometown Thanh Lang commune, Thanh Ha district, province Hai Duong, is a driver of Platoon 2, Company 1, Transport Brigade 653, Logistics Department of Military Region 3.

Previously, at 13:30 p.m. on September 11, 2024, following orders from his superiors, Lieutenant Colonel Professional Soldier Tang Ba Hung and his teammates helped the people of Truong Son town, An Lao district, city. Hai Phong overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3. While working with teammates and local people to trim fallen trees, comrade Hung was electrocuted; teammates and local people performed first aid and took him to Kien An Hospital, Hai Phong City, but comrade Hung did not survive and died at the hospital.

Professional soldier Lieutenant Colonel Tang Ba Hung sacrificed his life while performing his duty to help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3; he demonstrated his bravery and willingness to sacrifice to save people's lives and property, contributing to further enhancing the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the Vietnam People's Army in the new situation.
