MOA organization provides medical examination and treatment for people with disabilities and victims of Agent Orange in Quang Nam

On October 11 and 12, at the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam, the Medical Outreach of America (MOA) organization from the United States conducted a medical examination and treatment program for people with disabilities and Agent Orange victims in Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province.

According to information from the Quang Nam Province Union of Friendship Organizations, the MOA medical examination and treatment delegation includes leading medical experts from the United States, including surgeons, dentists, general practitioners and ophthalmologists. Accompanying the delegation are also doctors from the Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital of Quang Nam, lecturers and students from the Da Nang University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The program aims to support people with disabilities and Agent Orange victims to access good quality health care services. At the same time, the program helps diagnose and provide initial treatment for diseases related to motor disabilities as well as sequelae caused by the effects of Agent Orange.

During the examination, patients are screened and classified according to their disability status and medical history. Doctors from the MOA team conduct clinical examinations, measure blood pressure and other health indicators. Depending on their medical condition, patients are given vitamins or undergo specialized tests and X-rays at the hospital, with all costs covered by MOA. Those in difficult circumstances will receive treatment support and rehabilitation equipment such as wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, or orthopedic devices.
